PSIA and social analysis training (Nairobi, Kenya 15-26 September 2002)

A regional training workshop was held in Nairobi, Kenya, September 15-26, 2002, combining modules on Participation and accountability in PRSP Processes, Social Analysis For Investment Projects, and Poverty and Social Impact Analysis (PSIA). The workshop addressed the training needs of country office as wells as Washington-based Social Development staff of the Africa Region. In addition, the workshop provided an opportunity also for a number of staff from the Transport Sector Department to familiarize themselves with Social Analysis and PSIA considerations in their fields of operation. The sessions included theoretical concepts and backgrounds, intensive case study work in smaller groups and a three-day field study.
