Bank-Fund-DfID Workshop on PSIA, 15-17th October 2002
A joint workshop was held by DfID (UK), the IMF and the World Bank in October 2002 to bring together progress made so far on PSIA. The presentations and discussions covered the DfID and World Bank pilot studies, issues in choosing methods, and concerns of ownership and capacity-building. Recommendations were made for executing credible PSIA process and methodology, the pitfalls to be avoided, and next steps to be taken. This workshop is part of an ongoing process for collaboration and keeping track of what is being carried out. A similar workshop is likely to be held in 12 months time to report on progress.
The materials from the workshop are available below. The first 13 links are for the case study presentations and summary documents. The next 8 links are presentations made on tools, methods and ownership. There then follows links to the workshop's concluding presentation, two rapporteur documents and the agenda.
Since the workshop, the country studies have advanced, many of which are now finalized. For the latest documentation and presentations, click the relevent country under the Country Experience section in the left-hand navigational menu.
