The PROFOR Initiative

PROFOR is a multi-donor partnership for sustainable forest management hosted at the World Bank that supports country-driven participatory processes for forest management, such as national forest programmes (NFP), through the provision of knowledge on strategic thematic areas and capacity building to apply such knowledge. PROFOR is an independent programme, governed by a management board comprised of international donors, UN agencies, partner organizations and country representatives.
